Grammy-nominated gospel icon Kurt Carr has released a rousing new song, entitled ‘Bless Somebody Else (Dorothy’s Song)’.

The song is a collection of gospel voices, with The Kurt Carr Singers, Miles Caton, Wess Morgan, Fred Hammond, Faith Evans, Yolanda Adams, Smokie Norful, Erica Campbell, Roosevelt Griffin, John P. Kee, Jekalyn Carr, Bishop Paul S. Morton, Keke Wyatt, Bishop T.D. Jakes, Denise Tichenor, and Zacardi Cortez all featuring.

The song encourages us to use our lives to help others, and is written for Carr’s friend Dorothy King, whom he says “walked by my side in ministry for 25 years” before her sudden, unexpected death.

Blessing others, Carr says, is “the theme of my life for this season”, and something that was hugely important to the song’s namesake.

‘Bless Somebody Else (Dorothy’s Song)’ is out now.
